This sweet family reminds me a lot of my own – Mom and Dad are high school sweethearts just like me and my husband, and we both have an older daughter and younger son, just about the same age difference too. When I arrived, Mallory wanted to show me all her toys and especially how good she is at puzzles. She’s also an amazing big sister to her little brother Carey. She loves to hop into Carey’s crib and read stories to him, so mom wanted to make sure we captured that special moment. Then it was time for a dance party! A little Taylor Swift and Mallory was showing off her best dance moves. And of course Carey watched his big sis with adoring eyes! He totally wanted in on that fun. It won’t be long, buddy! 😉
The family loves to spend time together outside so we headed out and Dad and Mallory shot some hoops and explored. Of course we had to blow some bubbles too. All that activity made for hungry bellies, so Mom and Mallory whipped up some smoothies in the kitchen. Mallory is such a big helper. She peeled the banana, got the fruit and juice, and poured them in all by herself! Amazing what a 3-year-old can do!
The last activity that mom wanted us to document was Carey’s bath in the sink. I love that we took these pictures and Mom summed it up perfectly when a few weeks later she said, “So happy you captured this! All week he has been getting his bath sitting up in the regular tub. Each stage goes by all too quickly!” So true. I wish we could put them on hold for a while so we can enjoy each stage just a little longer!
